Doubts a boost in learning support funding will be enough for neurodivergent children

Doubts a boost in learning support funding will be enough for neurodivergent children

The Government's pumping 746-million dollars into learning support, particularly early intervention services.

Auckland's Acorn Neurodiversity has several programmes catered to developmentally disabled children - and say there will be little change with no funding to therapy services.

Chief executive Tami Harris says New Zealand lags behind other developed countries in this space.

She says we don't provide direct support or specialist intervention to those with extra learning needs.
