The conference industry's looking to hire more staff, to keep up with an influx of events

The conference industry's looking to hire more staff, to keep up with an influx of events

More than two-thirds of conference organisations expect business events to increase over the next three years, according to a new survey by the Business Events Industry association.

Almost half expect to have more workers on board.

Association Chief Executive Lisa Hopkins says a new vocational training programme's being launched later this year, to bring across more people from tourism and hospitality.

She says the sector provides great opportunities for career growth.
