Cabin-fever's set in for an Auckland family - that's spent the past nine months in lockdown to avoid measles

Cabin-fever's set in for an Auckland family - that's spent the past nine months in lockdown to avoid measles

New Zealand's had more than 18-hundred cases this year.

Former healthcare worker Tony, who only gave his first name, says his wife and two children - including a five-month-old - stay at home while he goes to work.

He says his wife wants to get outside - but they're trying to limit exposure risk.

Tony says he's immune - but doesn't interact with his family after work until he's changed his clothes and washed.
