    Samoa's state of emergency over its measles epidemic, is being extended until after Christmas


    It means children will be excluded from public gatherings until December 29.

    All under-14s must show proof of immunisation before boarding any inter-island ferry in Samoa.

    About 93 per cent of all eligible people in the island nation have been vaccinated against measles.

    The death toll remains at 72.
