Claims up to 350 men's lives could be saved each year, by a new prostate cancer screening method

The Cancer Society and Prostate Cancer Foundation want a pilot run - but health officials aren't convinced its benefits outweigh the risks.
But a recent European trial showed screening helped mitigate risks of overdiagnosis and overtreatment.
Foundation president Danny Bedingfield says it could save up to half of New Zealand sufferers - if you take away opportunistic testing and use proper diagnostic methods like trans-perineal biopsies and MRI scans.
