The Education Minister's assuring all waiting schools will get their new buildings -- despite changes to how works are managed

The Education Minister's assuring all waiting schools will get their new buildings -- despite changes to how works are managed

A review's found a three-billion-dollar gap between expectations and available funds, with only 153 of 488 projects fully-funded.

Cabinet's considering its recommendation a new entity be set up to manage buildings, separate from the Ministry.

Erica Stanford says schools had been given high hopes.

She says delivering expensive bespoke designs is at the cost of every other school in the pipeline -- which is why this work will drive better value for money.
