Reassurances a doctor in hospital with Covid-19 did not treat patients while unwell

82-year-old Joseph Williams is a former Prime Minister of the Cook Islands and a well-known GP in the Pacific community.

Dr Williams medical practice is near the Americold store at the centre of the new cluster in Auckland.

Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield says Dr Williams was asymptomatic when he was last at work.

But Dr Bloomfield says the 200 people who Dr Williams saw or who visited the medical centre in the 48 hours beforehand have been contact traced.
