A Covid-19 mobile testing site will open its doors at the Port of Tauranga today

The Director-General of Health says a building and eight nurses have been made available - as well as administration and IT support.

Ashley Bloomfield says the local DHB's been working very closely with the port.

He says they'll be testing throughout the week - and prioritising port workers who may have had contact with ship crew.
