Disabled people's charity Enrich has been found to have breached health and disability consumer rights - over a resident's care

Disabled people's charity Enrich has been found to have breached health and disability consumer rights - over a resident's care

The man in his 30s has limited vision, is epileptic and non-verbal.

A staff member found an Enrich worker had knotted his sleeves over his hands and two others breached the code in witnessing the incident without action.

Deputy Health and Disability Commissioner Rose Wall says the lack of reasonable care caused psychological distress, and put him at risk of injury.

She's recommended the company and staff apologise in writing to the man and his family.
