Auckland's New Lynn's community centre has removed a sexual education booklet

Auckland's New Lynn's community centre has removed a sexual education booklet

Parents were outraged after young children found the Gay Sex and Risk booklet - openly in their reach.

It's imagery show dolls to illustrate sexual acts - including on the cover.

Auckland Council has apologised, saying it's not appropriate for children, and shouldn't have been out on display.

Body Positive executive director Mark Fisher, says the booklet should have just been stored elsewhere out of the reach of children.

He says an important resource is no longer there for teens.
