Endometriosis New Zealand says our clinical practice recommendations for the disease are out of date

It says the 2020 guidelines are no longer fit-for-purpose.

It's is calling on the government to replace it with new recommendations from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Chair Dr Michael Wynn-Williams says endometriosis has a huge cost to our society.

He says one in ten Kiwi women have endometriosis, and the government needs an action plan.
