    Surgeries are being put off at Christchurch Hospital


    A Health New Zealand spokesperson says 10 planned, elective operations have been deferred over the past two days due to a high number of acute trauma patients requiring immediate care.

    They say the impact is NOT to do with staffing or hospital bed capacity.
