A review is under way after a 28-year-old fled from Police at Auckland's Avondale station yesterday

Michael Robertson made a run for it when he arrived with police at the station, yesterday.

He had been found sleeping in a vehicle by police - who had warrants for his arrest on charges including methamphetamine possession.

Superintendent Karyn Malthus says the incident will be included in police's current national review of custody and transport of offenders.
