Eleven members of Christchurch Hospital staff have been asked to self-isolate after one staff member came into contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19

It happened outside the hospital but some staff members were close contacts of the worker.

The staff member is considered a probable case and contact tracing is underway.

They worked in ward 28 which is now closed to new admissions as a precautionary measure.
