Hopes WorkSafe investigators' workload can be better managed... so they can do their job better

Hopes WorkSafe investigators' workload can be better managed... so they can do their job better

WorkSafe has commissioned an independent report into its investigations of workplace deaths and injuries.

It found investigators do good quality work, but there are inconsistencies around demand, workload, and a lack of training.

WorkSafe CEO Phil Parkes says staff are very busy - because of the high number of workplace accidents.

But he's confident investigators will get the support they need, as the Government workplace regulator is investing in services and tools.
