A man is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court today, following multiple robberies in Waikato

A man is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court today, following multiple robberies in Waikato

Police arrested the 27-year-old man after three different businesses were robbed in the space of six hours with an imitation firearm.

They say they were initially called to the first incident at the Westpac bank in Chartwell just before 1.30pm.

Where a man had presented a weapon, threatened staff and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the same thing happened at the Rototuna Kiwibank and at a business in Taupiri.
