    A Rotorua man has been found guilty of manslaughter over the death of a 10 month old baby


    Karlos Stephens died in November 2014.

    Sixty-one year old Shane Claude Roberts denied murdering the little boy.

    A jury today found him NOT guilty of murder -but guilty of manslaughter.

    Prosecution lawyers argued the baby suffered fatal head trauma after a "forceful and likely violent" assault at the hands of Roberts.

    The Defence maintained it was the baby's mother who likely caused the injuries.

    Roberts has been remanded in custody for sentencing in February.
