    Five men charged with attempted murder in connection to Wattle Downs serious assault

    Police have charged five men with attempted murder ... in connection to a serious assault in Auckland's Wattle Downs just before Christmas


    The five, aged between 24 and 39, were arrested this morning.

    They'll appear in the Manakau District Court this afternoon.

    Radio host Harnek Singh was attacked in his driveway on December 23.

    He was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition - but has since been discharged.
