Police are warning against illegal hunting, after three men were arrested in the Bay of Plenty

Two 19 year olds and a 20 year old were trespassing on a Mimiha Road property in Matata - with two deer carcasses found and a rifle seized.

Rural Response Manager Senior Sergeant, Tristan Murray, says locals are tired of this - and it's good unlawful hunters are getting caught.

Murray says they put people at risk - with possible fatal consequences.
