Two 14 year old girls are badly shaken after being assaulted and robbed in broad daylight on an Auckland bus

Two 14 year old girls are badly shaken after being assaulted and robbed in broad daylight on an Auckland bus

The teens had boarded the bus at Saint Heliers on Saturday around one pm - and were heading to Sylvia Park Shopping Centre.

It's believed a group of young people were responsible for the attack - which left one girl with bruising on her face.

Auckland Transport says the bus operator provided footage of the attack to police.

An investigation's underway - and police have located and talked to a group of young people.
