A person's in custody - after ambulance staff reported seeing a possible firearm, as they took a patient to Auckland's Waitakere Hospital

The hospital went into lockdown, and armed police arrested the person, with the Eagle helicopter overhead.

St John's Andy Everiss says they have a zero-tolerance policy on threats, abuse and assaults to staff.
