    Two people have been arrested after a vehicle fled police, crashing into multiple parked cars in Upper Hutt


    The vehicle fled Police on Whakatiki Street just before 10 this morning, and was seen driving through the suburb of Trentham .

    It avoided an attempt to spike the vehicle by swerving into parked cars and damaging them.

    The pair then left on foot, with one of them found nearby - and a Police dog tracking the other down.

    Police found a small amount of ammunition in the vehicle.

    A 37 year old man's due in court in the new year on numerous driving-related charges.
