    A man is due in court today, accused of escaping Corrections custody at Waikato Hospital last week


    Police say 48-year-old remand prisoner Damon Anderson, was found yesterday morning at a property at Opara near Otorohanga address, and taken custody without incident.

    They say he's appearing in Hamilton District Court today on a charge of escaping custody.

    It's the second time in a month a prisoner has escaped from custody from Waikato Hospital.

    Corrections is undertaking a review of how he managed to escape.
