A Taranaki teacher who sent teenage boys sexually explicit videos has avoided jail

A Taranaki teacher who sent teenage boys sexually explicit videos has avoided jail

The man turned himself in to the police after being caught by an ex-student sending videos of himself masturbating to people he believed to be teenage boys.

Open Justice reports he's been given a good behaviour bond for the offending and has been granted permanent name suppression.

The judge accepted the man was remorseful and had faced genuine consequences for his actions, such as losing his career as an educator and receiving a conviction.
