A homicide investigation's underway, following the death of a man in Auckland's Otahuhu last night

Emergency services were called to reports of a person being seriously injured at a Beatty Street property around 8.30 last night.

A man was found in critical condition, and died in hospital from his injuries.

Counties Manukau CIB Detective Inspector Karen Bright says Police are working to locate a person of interest, and believe those involved know each other.

She says there's no risk to the wider community.
