A Coroner's report has ruled a man who went missing off the coast of Porirua in 2023, probably drowned after a diving mishap

Jinting Guo was last seen alive after taking his son to school - it's understood he then drove to a beach.

A float full of diving gear was discovered the next day - belonging to the 35-year-old - but his body was never been found, with the exception of a tibia bone.

The Coroner says Guo's body is presumed irrecoverable, and the incident is a timely reminder not to dive alone.
