    The Aged Care Commissioner has found a retirement home and two nurses didn't give appropriate care to an elderly woman - who died after a fall


    The woman was being treated at Tamahere Eventide Home and Retirement Village.

    Commissioner Carolyn Cooper says multiple breaches of the Health and Disability Code before and after the fall, include a lack of proper checks.

    She has recommended the home review its education on fall management, and provide evidence of doing so.
