Those behind a botched ram raid in Wellington last week are still at large

Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was driven into Newtown's Coromandel Street corner store in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Toyota Caldina became wedged in the shop-front, with the offenders unable to get out, having to exit through the cars windows before fleeing in another stolen vehicle empty-handed.

Police are still searching for the offenders, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
