Today marks a week since a jury began deliberations in the trial of alleged serial rapist, John Muchirahondo

The 38-year-old's accused of violating or raping 15 women between 2009 and 2021, in Christchurch and Auckland.

The High Court has heard he met some of the women at bars or parties, and several were ex-partners.

He's pleaded not guilty to the 22 charges he faces.

The jury retired just before 11am on Tuesday last week, to consider seven weeks of evidence.
