An IT contractor's pleaded guilty, to receiving more than four million dollars in bribes, days before their trial was due to start

The worker accepted kickbacks for granting more than 20 million dollars' work to another IT employee - who pleaded guilty earlier in the year.

The Australian citizens knew each other before working for the large New Zealand-based company.

Both contractors will reappear at the High Court in Auckland in December.
