    A Whangarei community's feeling unsettled as Police launch a homicide investigation


    Emergency services were called to Norfolk Street shortly before 5pm yesterday, to reports of a man being injured - he died at the scene.

    A 53-year-old man, known to the victim has been charged with murder.

    Herald reporter Brodie Stone says residents are feeling worried.

    She says one woman feels like the severity of crime in Whangarei has gotten worse in the last few months.

    Meanwhile, two men are facing murder charges after two separate homicides near Kaikohe and Hamilton yesterday.

    All three will appear in court tomorrow.
