An Auckland man has admitted running an underage prostitution ring

Wiparera Paraire, who turns 27 this month, can now be named after pleading guilty to four charges in the High Court at Auckland.

He served as the pimp of a 14-year-old girl, encouraging her to find sex work with other men, during the time they illegally dated in 2023 and 2024.

Paraire also entered into an agreement where the girl would recruit her under 16 friends, to prostitute themselves.

    He'll be sentenced in July.
