    Police have arrested 10 Auckland Airport staffers on drug smuggling charges - including nine baggage handlers

    Operation Matata blocked the attempted smuggling of 64 kilos of methamphetamine and 3.4 kilos of cocaine.

    Customs and police seized 24 million dollars worth of drugs, and arrested 18 people.

    Detective Inspector, Tom Gollan, says Police believe the group imported class A drugs on six occasions.

    The accused are appearing at Manakau District Court, with charges including importation and possession to supply.
