An Auckland man's been sentenced to nine months home detention, for possessing sexual exploitation material - of children as young as five-years-old

Lee Irving Musham appeared in court on Wednesday, on charges of knowingly possessing objectionable content.

Search warrants carried out at Musham's residential and business addresses led to several electronic devices being seized.

They were found to contain sexually exploiting images of children as young as five, as well as files and images promoting bestiality.

Musham is not required to register as a child sex offender, but the devices he used were ordered to be destroyed.
