In a leaked email, Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown's thanked elected members for their work during the Auckland floods

In urging councillors to unify, he asks them to leave communications on regional matters to him and Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson.
He says he'll 'take care of the big picture'.
But, Brown's encouraged councillors and board members to continue talking publicly about what's happening in local communities -- and 'take care of the local picture'.
