Dozens of children remain on a Christchurch charter school's wait list

Dozens of children remain on a Christchurch charter school's wait list

Mastery School is one of seven publicly funded, privately owned schools opening in the next two weeks.

It has 60 primary-age children struggling in mainstream classes enrolled for term one - and 40 more wait listed.

Principal Rose McInerney says they use a very specific teaching method.

She says they teach 85 percent repeated content every day - so it's very predictable, and introduce 15 percent new material each day.
