Students Against Dangerous Driving is celebrating 40 years of fighting for the safety of young drivers on New Zealand roads

Students Against Dangerous Driving is celebrating 40 years of fighting for the safety of young drivers on New Zealand roads

Founded in 1985 in response to our dire youth road death toll, SADD's a student-led network supported by NZTA and the AA.

General Manager Donna Govorko says its success depends on young people continuing to lead the charge.

She says they resonate with their peers and tackle peer pressure in ways adults can't.

Recent findings by the AA show young Kiwi drivers still have the highest rates of road deaths in the OECD.
