A High Court says the Ministry of Education failed to properly consult with the bus and coach industry on the latest school bus route tender

A High Court says the Ministry of Education failed to properly consult with the bus and coach industry on the latest school bus route tender

Bus and Coach Association CEO Dr Pim Borren says the industry was so concerned with the tender process - it decided to pursue legal action.

Borren says the proposed tender ignores the issue of poor driver wages - with the Ministry giving routes to the cheapest operators.

He says if the Ministry proceeds, it will undermine many existing bus operators.
