Concerns for students who won't return to school

Concerns for students who won't return to school

Auckland and Waikato students in Years 1 to 10 can return to school today.

Senior students in level three have been back for three weeks, but attendance at some Auckland schools has been around 50 percent.

New Zealand Principals Federation president Perry Rush says there's particular concern for young people with challenges in their personal lives.

He says those students thrive when there's clear routine and structure - and it's going to take quite some time and effort to get them back to those routines.
