While NZQA doesn't record plagiarism data for internal assessments, the PPTA has confirmed that anecdotally it's a growing concern for schools.
Te Puke High School Principal Alan Liddle thanks his school's processes for no major difference in incidents since AI became more accessible, but is aware of the potential danger.
He says with the way education is going, there's definitely a higher risk of plagiarism.
