An Auckland liquor store has been hit by a ram raid for the second night in a row

An Auckland liquor store has been hit by a ram raid for the second night in a row

A stolen car was driven into the window of Liquorland in Mt Eden at around 4.30 this morning.

The ram raiders caused around 20 thousand dollars worth of damage and got away with one or two bottles.

Store owner Wayne Rolls says they managed to lever the security grill and crawl through a small gap to get inside --- before the fog cannon went off.

He says about 20 miniature bottles of spirits and "half a dozen" hip flasks were taken the night before.
