A Christchurch barber's failed bid at having an indoor amusement park - has instead ended in nearly a-million dollars' debt

A Christchurch barber's failed bid at having an indoor amusement park - has instead ended in nearly a-million dollars' debt

Benny's Barber Shop owner, Ben Scott, planned to set up a new business, converting a Wigram hangar into an entertainment venue.

Both businesses have gone into liquidation -- with construction of the hangar about 80-percent complete.

According to a liquidator's report, Benny's Barbers Ltd owes more than 500-thousand dollars - while Benny's Hangar Ltd owes an estimated 400-thousand to contractors and suppliers.

Scott's confirmed the Barber Shop will continue operating, under new-ownership.
