Changes to tenancy laws have passed their third reading in the House

Changes to tenancy laws have passed their third reading in the House

It mean 90 day no cause terminations will be reintroduced for periodic tenancies.

It also reduces notice periods for landlords and tenants - and again lets landlords give notice to end a fixed term tenancy, without a specific reason.

The changes also let landlords require a pet bond - and introduces new pet consent and damage liability rules.
