The fog that's blanketed many upper North Island areas is lifting

Many people from the Waikato up to Northland woke up to thick fog this morning.

Meteorologist Tom Bell says it's unlikely to last much longer.

He says he expects the fog to lift in the next two hours due to an increase in wind strength and the sun of the day.
