Air New Zealand wants to fly hydrogen-powered aircraft

It's teaming up with Airbus to research such planes.

Chief Executive Greg Foran says says it's on the table for domestic flight, with electric planes used on shorter routes.

The aim is to have hydrogen-powered aircraft in the Air New Zealand fleet by 2030.
