A well-planned operation to steal a picnic table from Christchurch's red zone

A well-planned operation to steal a picnic table from Christchurch's red zone

The large Macrocarpa table top has been nicked from the area's adventure playground.

It was part of a child-led project by students of Banks Avenue School to re-vitalise the red-zone.

Avon-Otakaro network manager Hayley Guglietta says its removal was deliberate and planned.

She says they rolled it out with wooden poles, which would've taken several people to do.
