Wellington Zoo's capybara, Luna, has died

Wellington Zoo's capybara, Luna, has died

The Zoo's announced the beloved rodent, who spent her entire life at the Zoo, has been unwell with gastro issues, and was found dead in her habitat a few days ago.

Test results are not yet back - meaning the cause of death can NOT be determined just yet.

Luna was born at Wellington Zoo in 2019 and is being remembered as a particularly friendly capybara, who loved to get attention from the Zookeepers.
