An update on the state-of-play for Christchurch's historic Princess Margaret Hospital

An update on the state-of-play for Christchurch's historic Princess Margaret Hospital

Banks Peninsula MP, Vanessa Weenink confirms the Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Community Services teams remain working at the site.

A project is underway to design workspaces for the staff on the Burwood Campus -- with an aim to move by the year's end.

Weenink says Health New Zealand -- which owns Princess Margaret Hospital -- will then determine if the site is surplus to its requirements.

The hospital saw its last patient at the end of last year, when a replacement youth mental health facility opened near Hillmorton.
