Bobby Cannavale makes half as much money as Rose Byrne

The couple - who have sons Rocco, three and Rafa, three together - have been together for seven years and Bobby admitted his acting career is not as financially lucrative as Rose's

He told Vanity Fair magazine: "I make half as much as she does. Down the middle. Half. I work too much in the theatre, perhaps."

However, Rose revealed that Bobby "gets hit on all the time".

When asked if "they've noticed a gendered difference in how they're treated," Rose said: "Yeah. He's getting hit on all the time. I'm like, 'I'm fine. I've never had anything like this situation.'"

Bobby joked: "I have been objectified all the time."

Bobby and Rose have already worked together five times and will star in writer and director Simon Stone's 'Medea' at the at Brooklyn Academy of Music in January and the pair admitted their personal relationship influences the projects they take on.

Bobby said: "It starts out as a very pragmatic thing. You have the kids, the kids are getting bigger, and you don't want to spend the time apart."

Bobby, 49, and Rose, 40, have been praised by friends for their loving relationship, with Byrne's 'Damages' co-star Glenn Close saying: "The chemistry between them, it's just so remarkable. Plus, they're both kind of universally loved."

And Rose previously revealed how happy she was to be able to work with Bobby.

She said: "He's this very kind-hearted, wonderful guy. I'm very lucky to have met him. We're getting to work together a lot lately. I was initially nervous - clearly, it could have not been a good idea - but it's fun to have someone close to you on set rather than spending months apart."
