Ian 'H' Watkins has fallen in love again

The Steps singer had been single since splitting from his husband Craig Ryder - with whom he has four-year-old twins Macsen and Cybi - in 2017 but he's now said to be "smitten" with dancer-turned-tour manager Tom Hope

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "H is smitten and it’s lovely for everyone to see.

"He had been single for almost three years and was totally focused on his twin boys and his work.

"Then 'Dancing On Ice' earlier this year was hectic for him, too. But now he’s met Tom it feels like everything has fallen into place."

However, the 44-year-old star is keen to keep his new romance as private as possible.

The insider added: "His friends and family have met Tom but they’ve kept their romance low-key and decided not to plaster it all over Instagram.

"He is the happiest he has been in a long time and everyone is saying he’s got that old smile back."

Earlier this year, it was revealed H had been using dating apps to find love again.

His 'Dancing on Ice' partner Matt Evers revealed: "We actually both went on dates last week with guys we met on Tinder, so I'm still looking for my Prince Charming."

But the skater insisted they would never have dated one another because they didn't want to "deter attention" from being the first same sex pair on the show.

He said: "Romance goes against the point of why we are doing our same sex coupling on the show. We don't want to deter attention from what we are really trying to do.

"H and I are really good friends. We don't want the curse of 'DOI' to strike us."

Meanwhile, H recently admitted parenting his young children had left him too "exhausted" to remember any of Steps' new dance routines.

He said: "I'm good at remembering the dances from our back catalogue but I can't remember the new ones. I'm an exhausted parent of twins. I can only retain so much information."

H has recently embarked on a two-week detox because he found he was drinking too much during lockdown.

He said: “Parenting requires lots of gin. Although I have been on a two-week detox because in lockdown, it was so easy to pour a drink, then another and before you know it, you're sloshed."
